Dear students,

All courses (practical courses, seminars and lectures) will take place in presence this semester (WS 24/25). Any exceptions for lectures (e.g. external lecturers) will be announced in good time on Moodle or the course schedules. The kick-off events for medical sociology and career exploration (1st year of study) are on Friday, 18.10.24.

For recognition of previous academic achievements, please refer to the information provided by the Dean of Studies Office (SDEK), as well as the information on Moodle. As a rule, certificates of equivalence in the subject Medical Sociology are only issued in the case of a change of university within the medical studies programme. Please refer to the conditions of admission to find out which previous achievements can be recognised.

In teaching, Prof. Apfelbacher and his colleagues cover the subjects social science, epidemiological, health system-related and health economics knowledge that is indispensable for the medical profession. Health economics is taught by Prof. Vogt and his staff. In addition, the Institute is involved in the development of innovative teaching projects to structure the practical phases in medical training.
