Johannes Kögel studied sociology and philosophy in Munich and Cape Town and has conducted research on various topics, including migration in South Africa, brain–computer interfaces, and xenotransplantation. At the Institute of Social Medicine and Health Systems Research at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, he works as a research associate within the ISA research network – Implementation Research Saxony-Anhalt. There, he coordinates Subproject A on implementation research in emergency and intensive care medicine and conducts research on patient self-reports (ePROMs).
